Parker loves contests, from staring competitions to how long you can hold your breath. Luckily, he’s not a sore loser. He applies his competitive nature to the river as well — any challenge the river holds, you can bet that Parker is up for it.

THIS ONE TIME

The river has a funny way of surprising people. Parker grew up playing around Pistol Creek rapid. He knows it like the back of his hand. That didn’t stop the rapid from kicking Parker out of his boat for the first time in seven years!

IN HIS OTHER LIFE

When he’s not spending his summers on the Middle Fork, Parker spends the off season studying at college. We bet he has some pretty good stories to tell his fellow students about his summer vacations.
